- The code is not clear. The label is damaged. Get closer clean the label or try scanning from another side.

- The code is not the type. Make sure it is a normal retail barcode; try again with better focus.

Simple Fixes for Common Scanning Issues

Light

Press the flashlight button in the camera view. Having good even light makes a difference in finding the code. Don’t scan in darkness.

Reflections and glare

Move your phone a little. Change the angle to stop shiny surfaces from causing problems. If the packaging is not shiny or if you cover the code with your finger (then take it off) it often works better.

Not focused codes

Keep the phone still and wait for the camera to focus. Move closer or farther until the code looks clear. Clean the camera lens if needed.

Close or too far

Stay between 10–25 cm from the code. Use pinch to zoom for small or far away barcodes. Being too close can make the code look wrong; being far can make it hard to see.

The code is damaged, crumpled or missing part of it.

Try scanning from an angle or side. If the real code is really broken, take a picture and use the "Scan from Gallery" or image option if it is available.

Some Extra Tips to Make It Work Better

- Make sure the whole code is inside the frame on the screen.

- Don’t move the phone while the app is trying to find the code.

- Restart the app. Clear the camera view if it stops working.

- Update the app to get the improvements.

Most problems, with scanning can be fixed by light, the right angle and keeping the phone still. With these changes QR & Barcode Scanner becomes very dependable for daily use.

- Auto-zoom or focus options if available.

These small changes make daily use faster and more comfortable.

Privacy & Security Best Practices

Regularly clear History (usually via a trash or "Clear all" option) to remove old scans containing sensitive links, Wi-Fi passwords, or personal data. Review app permissions in your phone's Settings and revoke any unnecessary ones. Avoid scanning unknown QR codes from untrusted sources, as they can lead to phishing sites.
