The app mixes the ease of cable with the convenience of binge-watching. You can flip through than 250 live channels for news, sports highlights or 24-hour Star Trek marathons. Then you can explore the on-demand shelf for horror, romance, retro comedies and kids content. Because it uses ad breaks instead of subscriptions the library stays very deep and it keeps adding new themed channels.

How to Watch Live on the Pluto TV

Pluto TV is a free ad-supported streaming app that offers hundreds of live channels and on-demand movies and shows. Watching live is simple. Needs no cable login or payment.

First, download the Pluto TV app from the App Store or Google Play. Open pluto.tv in a web browser. Launch the app. If you wish create a free account to sync your favorites and watchlist across devices. Guest mode works for streaming.

From the home screen tap Live TV or the guide icon. You will see a grid of channels sorted by genre—News, Sports, Movies, Kids, Comedy and more. The grid shows what is on now and what will come next. Scroll to any channel and tap it; the live stream starts away.

Use the search bar to jump to a channel or add your favorite channels to Favorites with the star icon. You can toggle captions on supported streams. On iOS you can AirPlay to a TV that is on the same Wi-Fi network. That is free live TV, in seconds.

The app feels a bit like cable TV mixed with new streaming apps. You can flip through channels that run 24/7 or you can pick a movie from the library. You can watch on TVs, phones, game consoles or web browsers. Pluto TV makes money from commercial breaks, which is just like watching normal broadcast TV.

You do not even need to make an account to start watching. However if you do sign up you can save your favorites. Start a show on one device and finish it on another. You might not always find the big movies but Pluto TV has many old classics and special channels for things like true crime, anime or old sitcoms. For people who want to cut the cord Pluto TV is great because you press play, watch a few ads and you never get a bill.

How to Add Titles to Your Watchlist on Pluto TV

Pluto TV is an app with ads that gives you hundreds of live channels and thousands of movies and shows. To help you remember what you want to watch Pluto TV has a helpful Watch List feature.

To add a movie or show Pluto TV and look through the On-Demand section. Tap on the title to see the details. If you use a device or a Roku look for the "Watch List" button with a plus (+) sign and tap it. The button will change to "In Watch List" so you know it worked. On some devices you might only see "Watch Now" because the Watch List button is not on every screen.

If you made a Pluto TV account your saved titles will show up on all your devices. This means you can make a list on your phone and watch it later on your TV. To see your saved shows just go to the Watch List section in the menu. If you want to take something off the list just go to the details page. Tap "In Watch List" again. Smart Search Tips for Pluto TV: Stream Free Movies & TV

Pluto TV is an app with ads that has over 250 live channels and thousands of movies and shows. You can find the search bar by looking for the glass icon. It is at the top on a computer at the bottom on a phone and on the side on most smart TVs. Just remember that the search only finds on-demand titles and does not search the channel schedules.

You can type in a movie a show, an actor or a genre like "comedy" to find what you need. The results will change as you type. If you want a title like "The Matrix " you can use quotes. Make sure to check your spelling because the search can be picky about typos.

If you do not know what to watch do not use search. Instead just browse the On Demand genre tabs, like Action or Crime. Look at the Live TV Guide. On a computer you can go straight to pluto.tv/us/search. You can save things to My List if you have an account. If you cannot find a movie it might be because of where you live or because the license ended. Just try searching for words before you give up.
